Where It All Began
It started with a pair I couldn’t let go of.
They were my favorite sneakers—worn, comfortable, and full of memories.
Instead of throwing them away, I decided to give them new life.
I picked up my markers… and began to paint.
I didn’t think much of it at the time.
But everywhere I went, people would stop me and ask:
“Where did you get those?”
And I would smile and say:
“I made them.”
That one simple moment became the beginning of something much bigger.

I started creating more—each pair inspired by the beauty around me in Hawai‘i:

What began as a personal expression slowly turned into a growing demand.
People weren’t just buying shoes.
They were connecting to something deeper—
a memory, a feeling, a story.

I was born in the Philippines and built my life and business in Hawai‘i.
Over time, I realized that my work was more than art.

As more people discovered my work, I also heard something important:
Many women loved the designs…
but needed more comfort.
So I began creating something new—
A wide-fit, comfort-focused line designed for real life.
This became TVR Care—
a line created to honor nurses and caregivers who spend their lives caring for others.

What started as one upcycled pair has grown into something I never imagined.
